人工生命(ALife)アルゴリズムを用い、音楽“らしきもの”を生成するこの作品は、いくつかの人工生命のシミュレーションに基づく音選択、リズムの生成などをもとに形作られている。 本作品では東京大学池上高志研究室所属の丸山典宏氏、升森敦士氏の二人の研究者の協力のもと、人工生命の理論をもとに「ありえたかもしれない生命」のアルゴリズムに基づく、人為によらない音楽の可能性を模索する。
多摩美術大学情報デザイン学科メディア芸術コース卒業。情報科学芸術大学院大学［IAMAS］メディア表現研究科修了。Universit?t der K?nste Berlin 交換留学。Kunstuniversit?t Linz 交換留学。国内外で舞台表現やインスタレーション制作のテクニカル、設計などを行う傍、メディア考古学、サウンドアート、パフォーミングアート、インスタレーションなどの研究、作品制作を行う。

“Something like music” is generated using the ALife algorithm in this work. This work consists of several sound selection and formation of rhythm based on Alife simulations. I will grope for possibility of non-artificial music based on algorithm “a life which may have been existence” following the theory of Alife, with the cooperation of two researchers, Mr. Norihiro Maruyama and Mr. Atsushi Sasamori, who belong to the University of Tokyo, Takashi Ikegami Laboratory.
Graduated from Tama Art University, department of information design, media arts course. He also graduated from Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Science (IAMAS), faculty of Media Expression. He went on an exchange program to Universtät der Künste Berlin and Kunstuniverstät Linz. In addition to technical design of stage performance and production of installation both at home and abroad, he is doing research and production of media archeology, sound art, performing art, and installation.
